Using Your Networking Card

Once your Boop Gildre networking card is activated, it's ready to be a key tool for effective networking. Here's how to use your card to exchange information effortlessly at events and meetings:

How to Exchange Information

  1. Have Others Scan Your Card

    • Encourage others to either scan the QR code or use the NFC functionality on your networking card. Both methods will initiate the process for exchanging contact details.

  2. Entering Details

    • After scanning the QR code or tapping the NFC, a prefilled message will appear prompting the scanner to enter their name and email. They must enter their information accurately without modifying the prefilled text.

  3. Send the Message

    • After entering their details, they should send the message. This will facilitate the exchange of information. Their contact details will be saved in your Boop app, and your information will be exchanged in return.

Using NFC Functionality

For iPhone Users

  • Activate NFC: To use NFC, open the Boop app and select "Update Card" to activate the NFC functionality.
  • Tap the Card: Once activated, hold the top of your iPhone near the QR code on the networking card to exchange contact information via NFC.

For Android Users

  • Activate NFC: Similarly, ensure NFC is activated by updating your card in the Boop app.
  • Tap the Card: Tap the area where the NFC antenna is located on your Android device (usually the center back of the phone) to the QR code on the networking card to initiate the exchange.

If the Scanner Does Not Have the Boop App

  • Receiving Your Information via Text: If the person scanning your card does not have the Boop app installed, they will automatically receive your contact details via a standard text message. This ensures that your information can still be exchanged smoothly without the need for the app.

Syncing with the Boop App

  • Automatic Sync: As soon as the message is sent, the new contact’s information will automatically sync with the Boop app, allowing immediate access to the details exchanged.

  • Retrieving Profile Information: The person who scanned your card will receive your profile information within the Boop app, facilitating a reciprocal information exchange.

Viewing Contacts

  • In the App: All contacts obtained through your networking card can be viewed and managed directly in the Boop app, allowing you to effectively grow and organize your professional network.

  • On the Website: Additionally, you can view and manage your contacts by signing into the Boop website. This provides a broader interface for more comprehensive contact management.

Ensure that the QR code on your card is clearly visible and accessible to others during networking opportunities. This maximizes the effectiveness of your networking card across various professional scenarios.
